On April 22, 1956, Willie James Judon, age 69, was born to Willie Mae Judon and Allen Pinson in Mississippi. Willie James was known by Goo-Nut by his family and friends. He loved fishing, cooking, and football, and he was very good at all of them, especially football. He later moved to Michigan to live with his cousins, Shelia Judon and Linda Davis, after his illness. He then later moved to Gowen, Michigan, where he passed away unexpectedly on July 6, 2025. Willie loved music, fishing, football and dancing. At the Assisted Living Center, Willie was often the life of the party. He loved singing Karaoke, especially to Michael Jackson classics and his favorite “oldies”, including the Temptations. While his time at home was full of fun times, he loved going on outings as well and would sing along to the “jams” in the car. His laugh was contagious, and he was an engaging conversationalist who the other residents and visitors loved talking to. He will be greatly missed by everyone at the home, and all who knew him.
He leaves to cherish his memory one daughter, Anita Henry and Her husband Tyrone Henry of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; an aunt, Ruby Leggett of Grand Rapids, a sister, Violet Faye Pinson Boyles of Pontotoc, Mississippi; three grandkids, Dovonte Martin, Domonqe Henry, and Daneea Henry; one great grandson, Dominic Henry; a host of cousins, nieces, relatives and friends; including special cousins Dan Judon of Mississippi and Shelia Judon of Grand Rapids, and dear friends Emma Jean Ball, Rosemary Thompson, and Ernestine Hudson. Willie was preceded in death by his father, Allen Pinson, his mother, Willie Mae Judon and dear grandmother, Rennie Mae Judon, and a special friend from his days in Grand Rapids, Novella Ezell.
