Walter L. "Wally" Shaw

Walter Lloyd “Wally” Shaw, age 64, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Belding, passed away unexpectedly on March 20, 2026, at Corewell Health – Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. He was born in Greenville, Michigan, on July 12, 1961, son of Jack Lloyd and Ana Louise (Mitchell) Shaw. He graduated from Belding Schools and continued his education in California where he became a certified auto technician. He worked for several automotive repair shops during his lifetime and fixed countless cars at home in his own driveway. He loved to turn a wrench and was very skilled at it. When not working, he enjoyed quiet time at home.

Walter is survived by, his father, Jack Shaw of Belding; his son, Jason (Miranda) Durham of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan; his grandchildren Aubri McCall, Kassie Durham, Ashden Durham, Taylor McCall, Carter Durham, Jasmine Durham and Jason Durham, Jr.; a great grandchild, CeCe; his sisters, Jacque Shaw and Tammy Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ana L. Shaw.
