Randall William “Randy” Hall, age 68, of Belding, passed away peacefully at home under hospice care surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 13, 2026, following a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. He was born on July 31, 1957, in Greenville, Michigan, son of William Ronald and Sharon K. (Filkins) Hall, He graduated from Belding High School fifty years ago, with the Class of 1976. During his high school career, he was an accomplished sportsman in both football and tennis. Following high school, he attended Creston and Graceland Colleges and worked at Goodwill Industries for many years where he earned an agency-wide award when chosen to be named Outstanding Employee of the Year. He also worked for several years as a custodian for a home construction company. Randy was skilled at shooting pool, winning countless games and many tournaments. He also enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Michigan Wolverines and Detroit Lions football fan. He was a wonderful father and friend and will be missed by all who know him.

Randy is survived by his parents, William and Sharon Hall; his daughters, Jennifer A. (Mark Miller) Hall of Belding and Sharlene M. Dennis of Rodney, Michigan; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; prior wife and mother of his daughters, Darla Holmes; prior wife and friend, Brandi Russel; siblings Shelly (Jill Taylor) Cooper, and William (Heather) Hall; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and his dear cat, Chester, who he loved very much. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and two sisters, Toni Hall and Tammy S. Babcock.

A Life Celebration Event was held in March, prior to Randy’s passing and was attended by many. His family is planning smaller, more private observances at this time. For additional information, please contact Verdun Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services at (616) 794-1300.
