Pamela M. Sloan

September 29, 1960 — September 19, 2022

Pamela Marie (Mosier) Sloan, age 61, of Grandville, formerly of Belding and Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022, at Spectrum Health-Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids following a brief stay there. She was born on September 29, 1960, in Belding, Michigan, daughter of Frank and Bonita Irene (Howe) Mosier, both of whom preceded her in death. Pamela graduated from Belding Schools and spent the last 25 years in the transportation industry, in many capacities. She had a passion for helping people, and during her time at West Michigan CDL, helped hundreds of people navigate the process of starting a new career in the transportation industry. She married Richard W. Sloan on April 14, 2004, in Rockford, Michigan, and he survives. Pam had a deep love of her family and was always ready and willing to set up, or participate in, an inside joke especially with her dear grandchildren, whom she always doted on and spoiled. She enjoyed going to Whitecaps games, going to the races, watching NASCAR, “In the Heat of The Night”, “Matlock”, “Diagnosis Murder”, “The Andy Griffith Show”, and “MASH” with her husband. While she had a humorous side, Pam had a huge, compassionate heart and would come to the aid of anyone in need. She also dearly loved her dog, “Misty-moo” who passed away just a few weeks ago.

Pam will be dearly missed by her children, Josh Ehlert of Cedar Springs, Rob (Sandra) Sloan of Inverness, Florida, Michelle (Chris) Staten of Hillsdale, Michigan and Brynn Oshinski and Scott Hall, who became part of the family and were treated just like her own; 13 grandchildren; siblings Kathy Palmer of Greenville, Bobby G. Seely of Belding, Carla J. Seely of Louisiana, and Sandy (Fred) Neumann of Orleans; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Angela Marie and Amanda Marie; and a brother, James E. Seely.

Visitation and funeral will take place on Tuesday, September 27, with visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the service beginning at 4:00 p.m., at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S.
