Mark Dennis Telego

A remarkable human being passed today, April 9th, 2021. Mark Dennis Telego was born on September 27th, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio. He was the son of Dr. Anthony Joseph and Helen Grybos Telego. Surviving Mark is his brother and sister-in-law Dean Jeffery and Tacy Telego, his former wife and dearest friend Kathy Telego, cousin Cynthia Galmish among his many close friends. Mark was a lifetime resident of Grand Rapids.
Mark was a graduate of Ottawa Hills High School where he was a lettered star quarterback for the Ottawa Hills Indians now Bengals. Mark also excelled at high school baseball.
Mark received his Associate Degree from JC College before completing his Bachelors in Business Administration from Western Michigan University.
Mark started his business career in sales and marketing with Uncle Charlies Coffee Company then transitioned to becoming the top sales executive in the field of life insurance. Using his successful time in life insurance, Mark moved into selling residential and commercial real estate before becoming a successful business broker through his companies Blue Diamond International and Marco Partners where he served as CEO and President.
Mark will be remembered as a successful entrepreneur with several early startup companies but more importantly as a faithful, caring and enduring brother and close friend to many. Mark will also be remembered as a compassionate and loving care taker of his mother when she entered her later years.
Mark succumbed to Stage 4 non-small cell lung cancer after a delayed diagnosis and brief illness. Mark received compassionate care through Faith Hospice Community and home hospice care at Trillium Woods. Mark was only 68 years young.
The Telego family is requesting that all donations and charitable contributions be made out to Faith Hospice of Trillium Woods in the name of Mark Dennis Telego for their remarkably compassionate care. Cremation rites are being accorded and interment will take place at a future date, in the family plot with his mother and father in Youngstown.
