Karen Arlynn (Yeary) Todd, age 85, of Belding, Michigan formerly of Battle Creek, passed away at Integrated Health Care in Belding on May 28, 2025 under hospice with loving family members by her side. She was born on July 9, 1939, in Monroe, Michigan daughter of Floyd Jasper and Frances Alice (Kull) Yeary, both of whom preceded her in death. Karen graduated from Adelphian Academy High School in Holly, Michigan. She worked for many years at Glenna’s Craft Haus, a store owned by her mother-in-law. She helped customers and played a significant role in running the store as well. Karen had a creative streak running through her which made her a perfect fit for the store and helped her with her own passions of porcelain doll and clothes making, quilting, sewing and many other “crafty’ endeavors. She was a woman of deep faith attending Urbandale Seventh Day Adventist Church for over 50 years. Karen also loved summer camp activities, attending for many years as a youth and adult. She was always proud of the fact that she was in the inaugural group of attendees at the storied Au Sauble Camp near Grayling, which still operated to this day.
The life and legacy of Karen will live on in her dear children, Donna (Jonathan) Gennick of Munising, Charlyn Iles of Belding and Lori Todd of Battle Creek; and her beloved grandchildren Ashley (Derrick) Cox, Kim (Brody) Girolami, Mary (Michael) Gardner, Jenny Gennick, Amanda AanNocker, Jospeh (Jenna) Lawhead, Anthony VanNocker, Jeff Gennick, Ryan Owens, Marissa (Zack) Dennis and Erin Owens; 14 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren; a beloved sister Alice Yeary of Monroe, Michigan; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
