Judith Ann “Judy” (Ross) White, age 76, of Baldwin, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior, on Monday, September 8, 2025. She was born in New London, Ohio, on May 17, 1949, daughter of William Howard “Bud” and Gertrude Meyrle (Martin) Ross, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Wellington High School in Wellington, Ohio and continued her education, graduating from Robin Art School of Floral Design in Akron, Ohio, which led to her owning and operating her own floral business. She also worked for many years as a Family Services Coordinator and Office Manager in Funeral Service. She later worked for Patterson Flowers, Oakwood Manor housing complex, Michigan Youth and GEO Northlake Correctional Facilities, and St. Ann’s Senior Services. Most recently she could be found working at Baldwin Lumber. Judy Married Delbert Don “Dee” White on July 13, 1968, and he proceeded her in death on August 18, 1992. Judy loved her family dearly and doted on her grandchildren as much as possible. She as a devoted member of Chase Fellowship Church, which she helped establish nearly 20 years ago.
In addition to her commitment to work she also had a passion for community service volunteerism. Some of her many accomplishments include serving as a Girl Scout volunteer, board and leadership positions with the Shrine of the Pines, Baldwin Trout-a-rama, Baldwin Housing Commission, Michigan Department of Health and human Services, Baldwin Promise Authority, Chase-barton United Methodist Church and Chase Fellowship Church, which she helped to establish in 2005. She had a decades-long commitment to Baldwin Area School serving on the Board of Education for 34 years, including leadership positions as Trustee, Secretary, Treasurer, Vice President and President over the years. During her tenure with the School Board, she earned the Master Diamond Award from the Michigan Association of School Board in recognition of her continuing education, leadership and service accomplishments. Even well into her 60’s, she had taken on the duties of Osceola 4-H Fair Poultry Barn Coordinator because her resume was not quite complete.
Memories of Judy as well as her legacy, will be cherished by her children, Jodi (Zac) Drilling of Baldwin and Brandon White of Morley; grandchildren Reese Drilling, Riley Drilling, Ilana White and Jesse White; a sister, Patricia Wilkinson; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard Ross and Harry Ross.
Visitation will take place on Friday evening, September 12, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Chase Fellowship Church, 501 Center Street, Chase, Michigan 49623. Judy’s Funeral Service will take place on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Baldwin Elementary School Gymnasium, 525 – 4th Street, Baldwin, Michigan 49304, with Pastors Jodie Maguire and Connie Schumaker officiating. Interment next to her husband, Dee will follow at Pleasant Plains Township Cemetery.
