Heather Sue (Seif) Bush, age 42, of Belding, passed away at home on Thursday, November 20, 2025, under the care of her loving husband Matthew, the family and hospice, following a long battle with cancer. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on January 13, 1983 daughter of Michael Alan and Susan Kay (Bennett) Seif.
Heather graduated in 2001 from Belding High School. She excelled in academics, track and field, and on the court with basketball. Her talent on the court, earned her a scholarship at Northwood University where she earned a bachelors in advertising, marketing and management. Her career path led her to Arbor mortgage as a loan officer and was a top producer. She then went to Fifth Third Business Banking and worked as a commercial underwriter in the loan department for loans exceeding half million dollars. In 2016 she worked with Coldwell Banker as a realtor.
On July 29, 2006, she married her high school sweetheart, Matthew Bush. They were blessed with three children, Simone, and twins, Emersyn and Henrik. Shortly after the birth of the twins she made the decision to be at home with her children.
In addition to her parents, loving husband and cherished children, she is survived by her brother, Jason (Michela) Seif of Grand Rapids; her father and mother in law, Larry and Deb Bush of Belding; her brothers and sisters-in-law, Sarah (Brent) Cummings of Rockford, Robert (Sarah) Bush of Saranac, Katharine (Jason) Cadwell of Smyrna, Rean (Kathryn) Bush of Smyrna, Rachel (Kevin) Smith of Belding; Ashleigh Bush of Belding; several aunts and uncles; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Shiloh Community Church, 8197 Heth Street, Orleans, Michigan 48865.
The family will greet visitors beginning at 11am until 1pm with a service beginning at 1pm. There will be a luncheon to follow service. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express sympathy are encouraged to consider contributing to the family for the benefit of Matt and Heather's children. Envelopes will be available at the services, or by contacting Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303S. Bridge Street, Belding, Michigan at 616- 794-1300.
