Dennis James “DJ” Conley, age 32, of Ionia, formerly of Belding, died on February 27, 2022. He was born on November 10, 1989, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, son of Steven Ray Conley and Karen Sue Wireman. He attended Belding High School and has since worked at several manufacturing and assembly plants. Dennis loved to play hacky sack and basketball with friends, and video games with his son. He was also an avid fisherman and was known to belt out a song when the mood hit him, whether he was alone or in public.
Dennis will be remembered by his family including children Devon, Isiaiah, Sophia and Haidlee; his mother, Karen S. Bell of Orleans; his father, Steven Ray Conley of Ionia; siblings Kristina Juskewicz of Orleans, Michile Conley of Orleans, Kevin (Angela) Conley of Clearwater, Florida and Christopher Conley; aunts and uncles, Tracy Wireman of Orleans, Vanessa (Terry) Madison of Orleans, Kernie (Denise) Wireman of Ionia, and Alan Wireman of Jasper, Florida; and many nieces, nephews, cousin and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Services will take place on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding, Mi 48809, with Pastor Tommy Turner officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Memorial donations are suggested to the wishes of the family to assist with expenses.
