Crystal Ellen Ricks

March 18, 1977 — July 23, 2019

Crystal Ellen Ricks-Warner, age 42, of Greenville, formerly of Belding and Gowen, passed away unexpectedly at Spectrum Health, United Memorial Hospital in Greenville on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. She was born on March 18, 1977, in Belding, Michigan, the daughter of Maxine Ellen Ricks. Crystal Attended Belding Schools and worked for several years at Electrolux in Greenville. She enjoyed crafting, going camping, spending time outside and gathering with family especially family dinners. As of late, her favorite spot to visit was just south of Greenville, near Como Lake. She would take her beloved rescue-dog “Frank the Tank” to swim and she enjoyed long walks through the cemetery nearby. Crystal had a soft spot for all living things including her cats, goats and even her pet tarantula. She married Daniel James Warner on January 20, 2017 in Stanton, Michigan, and he survives.

In addition to her husband Daniel, Crystal’s many family members and friends will mourn her passing, including her children, Randy J. Bunce, Brandon C. Bunce, Gage E. Buckley, Evainea L. Dennis, and her children by marriage Austin Story, Quin Day-Warner, Irene Whitehead and Samuel Whitehead; her mother, Maxine E. Nieto; her father, Roy Nieto; her sisters, Monika (Allan) Workman of Greenville and Sheree (Todd) Stokely of Grattan; her aunts and uncles, Beverly Ricks, Judith Franks, William Ricks and Gerald Ricks, Jr.; she will be dearly missed by her nieces and nephews, Kalien and Nora Stokely, Lily, Carter, Addison and Hayden Workman. Crystal was Haydens Godmother and loved being their Aunt “Tetu”. She was also survived by her dear life-long friend, Jennifer Patrick and many cousins and friends including special cousins Gerald Ricks, Robert Ricks, Brandy Adams. Breanna Ricks and Brittany Ricks. She is also survived by her Mother-in-law, Cheryl Warner of Greenville and her grandmother-in-law Marjorie Gibson; her brothers-and sisters-in-law, Margie Schofield, Shirley Spielmacher, Becky Warner, Dennis (Lily) Warner and Nick Warner; her dear, life-long friend, Jennifer Patrick; She was preceded in death by her biological father, Duane Young, her maternal grandparents Gerald and Crystal Ricks, and two aunts, Becky Howell and Elaine Syreck.

Visitation for Crystal will take place on Saturday, July 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding. Private interment rites will take place. Memorial donations are suggested to the benefit of the family.
