Bonita Irene (Howe) Mosier, age 92, of Belding, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, September 22, 2017. She was born on August 21, 1925, in Owosso, Michigan, the daughter of Orville Earl and Florence Ruth (Yoder) Howe, both of whom preceded her in death. Bonita attended Owosso schools and worked in several factory jobs during her lifetime including Jolly Kids and T.M.C. in Belding. She also cleaned homes and took in ironing to keep busy. She married Frank Mosier on December 31, 1963 and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2006. While she worked outside the home, her true focus was always her family. She had a great sense of humor and loved to joke and laugh with family and friends, giving people a hard time whenever she could. Bonita enjoyed B.I.N.G.O. and word search puzzles. She also knit and crocheted, making hats, mittens and scarves for family and friends. She was a Lifetime Member of the Sheridan V.F.W. Post 5056.
Bonita will be dearly missed by her children, Bobby G. Seely of Belding, Sandy (Fred) Neumann of Orleans, Carla J. Seely of Haughton, LA, Kathy S. Palmer of Greenville and Pamela (Richard) Sloan of Grandville, numerous grandchildren and many, many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; a sister, Kathryn Losey of Venice, Florida a brother; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. She was preceded in death by a son, James E. Seely and two granddaughters, Angela Marie and Amanda Marie.
Visitation will take place on Monday, September 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding, Michigan. The Funeral will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday, September 26, at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Hulford officiating. The family will also greet visitors at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will follow at Rest Haven Memory Gardens.
