Ronald Wallacwe “Ronnie” Ward

Ronald Wallacwe “Ronnie” Ward, age 76, of Belding, passed away at home on February 27, following a long illness, under the care of his loving family and Hospice. Ron was born, in Belding, on November 5, 1940, the son of William Wallace and Ellen Lydia (Wright) Ward, both of whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Belding High School and then served his country ni the United States Army. Following his return from the military he became employed by Stahlin Enclosures/Robroy Industries and retired from there with more than 45 years of service. Ron married Deloris Yvonne Beech, in Ionia, and she preceded him in death in 2007. He was a member of both the V.F.W. and American Legion in Belding and enjoyed time there talking with other veterans and friends.

Ron is survived by his step-daughter, Robin Yeasley of Belding and three nieces and nephews and several cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William and three sisters, Allison, Madelyn and Carol June.

A Memorial Luncheon gathering will take place at the Belding V.F.W. Post, on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 3:00 PM. A Military Honors Graveside Service is being planned for a later date at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens north of Belding on M-91. Memorials are welcomed to the charity of the donor’s choice.
