Robert E. "Frank" Stevenson

Robert Eugene “Frank” Stevenson, age 60, of Ionia, formerly of Greenville and Belding, passed away unexpectedly at home early Saturday morning, January 7, 2023. He was born on March 29, 1962, in Memphis, TN. One of eleven born to Bobbie Joe and Maybelle “Mary” Stevenson. Robert relocated to Belding with his family as a young child and attended Belding schools. He worked for many years as a press operator at the Daily News in Greenville, and later worked at Huntington Foam. Frank, as he came to be known, enjoyed listening to hip hop and older music, and watching wrestling on television. He was also a big fan of the discovery channel and watched old movies, both the classics and movies that no one has ever heard of. He was a tinker, working on many projects with his son and grandson. He will always be remembered for ambling around town on his bicycle, no matter what the weather or temperature, in his thick wool sweaters. He will be missed by many.

Robert leaves his dear family, to cherish his memory including, children: Tonya (Dennis) Robertson of Boyne City, MI, Brandon (Joy) Sisco of Greenville, Grandchildren: Jazmine Whisker, Ivey Whisker, Alyssa Abbott, and Devin Abbott, Siblings: Carla “Denise” Stevenson of Detroit, Damon “Claude” (Kris) Williamson of Belding, Jerome (Jessica) Williamson of Missouri, Danny Williamson of Milan, TN, Glen (Alma) Williamson of Milan, TN, Patricia (Ken) Small of Milan, TN, Dianze Williamson of Memphis, TN, Renee Williamson of Milan, TN, and Arthur (Twanda) Hayes of Memphis, MI; several aunts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Bobbie Joe Williamson Jr. and James Williamson.

Services will take place on Sunday, January 15, at Verdun Family Funeral Home 303 S. Bridge St, Belding, MI, 48809. Family will greet visitors beginning at 2:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Pastor Jennifer Lien officiating.
