Marny Lenae Woodworth

August 18, 1972 — March 17, 2019

Marny LeNae Woodworth, age 46, of Morley, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 17, 2019. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 18, 1972, the daughter of Ginger Leigh Lafferty and Jerold Woodworth, who preceded her in death in 1984. Marny attended Grand Rapids Schools and worked in several capacities during her lifetime, most recently at Original Footwear in Big Rapids. She enjoyed outdoor activities including gardening and tubing on the river. Marny loved sports pulling for Jeff Gordon during the NASCAR season and she cheered for the Griffins and Red Wings hockey teams. One of her favorite things to do was to watch her own children participate in their school and sporting events. She also was a huge classic rock music fan listening to AC/DC and others, was a big fan of Justin Timberlake, but kept that a secret. Among all of her interests, the most important things in life centered around family and friends, especially her precious grandchildren.

Marny leaves to mourn her passing, her special friend and companion, Karl Stienebach of Morley; her father Jerold Woodworth of Arizona; her grandmother, Carolyn Lafferty of Rockford; three daughters, Jessica Woodworth of Morley, Courtney Woodworth of Morley and Desiree Green of Lakeview; grandchildren Tristian, Misha and Amelia; siblings, Nani Keeshan of Grand Rapids and Nicholas Mosher of Bothell, Washington; aunts, Ellen (Jeff) Neitzel of Cedar Springs and Susan Johnson of Belding; and several nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandfather, Theodore Lafferty and a brother, Patrick Arthur Keeshan.

Marny’s family will host a Life Celebration Gathering at Verdun Family Funeral Home, 303 S. Bridge Street, Belding, Michigan 48809, on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Those considering an expression of sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in Marny’s memory to the needs of the family.
