John William Greenway

JOHN WILLIAM GREENWAY, age 54, of Belding, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, March 12, 2020. John was born on May 14, 1965, in Milton, Florida, the son of Jack W. and Karen (Hoffman) Greenway. His father Jack preceded him in death on January 29, 2018. He graduated from Belding Area Schools with the Class of 1983. While in high school he participated in wrestling, cross country and track. Following high school he went to work in the tool and die business and developed his natural ability to design and engineer parts and processes. During his first several years of employment, he also completed an Associate Degree at Montcalm Community College. He worked for nearly 25 years with Greenville Tool and Die then went to work with Die Cad Group, eventually becoming part-owner of the company. Over the past couple years, he had transitioned out of ownership, but he had stayed on as a Project Manager and traveled to visit client companies to evaluate needs and offer solutions that Die Cad Group could provide. John was a member of the Sons of The American Legion, Post 528, in Alto, Michigan and enjoyed time with family and friends. He loved to travel and visited Ireland in the fall of 2019.

John leaves to cherish his memory his son Noah, of Belding; his mother Karen (Russell) Reeves of Belding; siblings Lisa (Roger) Guernsey of Lowell, Michigan, Steven (Sarah) Greenway of Greenville, Michigan, Kathryn (Brian) Plescher of Grand Rapids, Michigan; Margo Reeves of Belding, Michigan and Russell Scott Reeves of Alberta, Canada; several aunts and uncles, many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and many work colleagues and friends.
