Amy Sue Bannister

Amy Sue Bannister, age 47, of Stanton, passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2017, at Sheridan Hospital in Sheridan. She was born in Greenville, Michigan on September 22, 1969, the daughter of Richard D. and Kathleen Ann (Gilman) Bannister. She graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1987. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her dear grandchildren, who became the light of her life after their arrival. Amy also enjoyed watching crime-related and mystery shows on television.

The memory of Amy will be cherished by family and friends including lifelong friend and companion, Robert Pena; her father, Richard D. Bannister; her children, Lacy Ann Bannister and Joshua Richard Bannister all of Stanton; her grandchildren Hayden Roberto Lacosse and Haylee Roze Lacosse; her siblings, Lisa (John Quillan) Bannister of Belding, Chris (Melanie) Bannister of Allendale and Jason (Katie) Bannister of Six Lakes; special friend and “mom”, Susie Pena; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Kathleen Bannister, who passed away in 2016.

A Graveside Service will take place at Sidney Cemetery, on Saturday, May 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Harger officiating. Those wishing to express their sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in Amy’s memory to the wishes of the family of the charity of the donor’s choice, and donations may be made through a Go Fund Me account established in Amy’s name.
