Beatrice Mary (Welton) Dehart

Beatrice Mary (Welton) DeHart, age 94, of Lake City, Florida, formerly of Zephyrhills, Florida and Ionia Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 2nd t, at Surry Place Assisted Living Center in Live Oak, Florida. Beatrice was born in, Davisburg, Michigan on April 10, 1923, the daughter of Matthew William and Hazel D. (Frick) Welton, both of whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Saints Peter and Paul High School with the Class of 1942, and worked for Chrysler Motors for many years. Beatrice exchanged wedding vows with Arza DeHart and he preceded her in death in 1986. Following her retirement, the couple relocated to Florida and lived in Zephyrhills. More recently she had relocated to Lake City, Florida to be nearer to family as her health declined. She was a member of the Trilby Social Club for many years.

The memory of Beatrice will be cherished by her family including a sister, Helen Beebe, of Sand Lake, Michigan, a sister, Norma, a brother Thomas; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Gardner.

A Graveside Service will take place on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Balcom Cemetery, on Tuttle Road, west of M-66 in Ionia, with Pastor Byron Davey officiating.
