Gladys H. Brondige, age 92, of Belding and Waterford Township, passed away in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 4, under the tender care of her loving family and hospice. She was the beloved wife of the late Francis E. “Bud” Brondige; loving mother of Shirley (David) Brendel, Jim (Linda) Brondige and Lee (Marilyn) Brondige. Her memory will also be cherished by her 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Mrs. Brondige retired as a Nursing Supervisor at the Pontiac State Hospital. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 12 Noon as the Riverside Chapel of Simpson-Modetz Funeral Home, 5630 Pontiac Lake Road, Waterford, Michigan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home prior to the funeral on Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Ottawa Park Cemetery in Clarkston. Those wishing to express sympathy are welcomed to consider a memorial contribution in Gladys’ memory to Ionia Hospice.
